Today I am going to talk about the most sought after shoe in the Sneaker Head world. The Air Jordan Xi Concord Reviews. Nike retail versus Marquee Sole.
One of the most highly expected shoe of the year for 2011 was the Air Jordan Xi (11) Concord. Released on December 22,2011 midnight. When this shoe was released online all shoe retailers crashed. Their servers could not handle the high volume of traffic that came in that midnight. Orders that went through were very lucky.
Another place that went bonkers out side of the world wide crazy web was in shoe stores of America. Before the release that midnight of Dec. 22,2011 people lined up on every corner of their local malls. Some places where so crazy people where fighting for positions to get in line. Another place reported shootings.
This shoe caused so much mayhem it is unbelievable. For the people who where unlucky got nothing.
For the anxious ones who ordered very early from questionable places online got their Jordan 11 one step ahead.
Before the release of the Air Jordan Xi to retail stores there where other places to get these shoes online. The online shoe store I am talking about is the popular Marquee Sole. There is an ongoing debate in shoe blogs about Marques sole. The questions people are asking if this online retailer sells authentic shoes.
I have been on so many shoe forum sites looking and searching for answers. But came up with little or no answers to my questions. I very curious to fulfill my quest.
So I took matters into my own hands. I wanted to do my own hands on review. This was the only way to find out and do my own comparisons.
The next step was to order from each online retailer. As mentioned previously in the paragraphs.I will compare the Air Jordan 11 shoes from both sides. Marquee Sole vs Nike retail. Back in early October 2011 I went ahead and ordered the Jordan Retro 11 from Marqueesole.com. Because this I wanted my own comparison. Then on the midnight of Dec.22,2011 I took a chance of ordering from Nike.com.
When I was inform by email of the release I was glued to my Alienware Area-51 PC. When the last seconds of the countdown went off I pressed that Buy-It-Now button as fast as I could. Thank God my order went through and never got the warning...Sorry our servers are down for the moment.
My order from Marquee sole arrived early on October 2011. While the order from Nike came in at Dec.30,2011.
Finally when the Nike Jordan 11 arrived I immediately put both pairs side by side. After a hour or so looking and inspecting every inch of both shoes this is what I found out.
Observe the image below.
Look closely at the picture. The Nike Jordan 11 is to your LEFT and Marqueesole is to your RIGHT. Right off the bat you can see with the naked eye that the shoe to your Left is taller than the Right. Now focus your attention to the number 23 on both pairs. The Marquee Sole shoe has a bit wider 23. Also observe the spacing between the 2 and the 3.
Now look at the Left shoe. See how the spacing between the 2 and the 3 is spaced evenly. Also the 23 is more of a relaxed look. Not to wide versus the Right shoe.
Lets move on to the next image below.
Focus your attention on both the Jumpman logo. See any difference? THe Jumpman to your Left has the tip of the ball lined up between the spacing of the 2 and the 3. the Jumpman to your Right has its ball closely to the top of the number 2. Observe the Left Jumpmans lower hand. See how the 4 fingers are spread out neatly. The Jumpman to your Left has its fingers not so visible. Lik it has been cut off.

Checkers any one?? I pulled out the shoe wrap from both of the shoe boxes. When I put them side by side you can obviously see the difference in color. The Left paper has a silver shine to it. The Left shoe paper is somewhat dull looking.
I am very happy with my own research. All my questions have been answered. It took some money to do my own recon. But in the end it is well worth it.
Educating your self in these kinds of matters will give you an edge. Not knowing what to look for and just relying on other peoples opinion can lead to disastrous results, Loss of money and frustration.
But beyond this research I can tell you that the Air Jordan Xi is one of my top favorites in the Jordan brand. From the icy soles to the distinctive black patented leather this shoe stands out from the crowd. Another release is coming for 2012. The Air Jordan 11 Columbia. I cannot imagine how this release will effect the Sneaker Head world.
So the questions that you are seeking might be in front of you. Go out there and get your hands dirty. Step out of the box and do your own hands on reviews.
And in the end your results will be satisfying.
But the main purpose of collecting shoes is to have fun.Always enjoy the Air Jordan brand. Because if it were not for Michael in the beginning then the shoe world would be boring!!!!
