Why is the 5.11 Rush Delivery bag the best out there ?
Well to answer that question it depends on the operators needs and wants of a messenger bag. The operator needs to determine what is needed to bring down range. The messenger bag also needs to be capable of carrying a laptop and other mission essential items.
In my experience with some of the messenger bags I would definately recommend the 5.11 Rush Delivery Messenger Bag. This messenger bag is awesome. It has all the pockets in the right places.

- Extra pens and pencils.

- Compass If neccessary.
- Field mini medic kit.
The mentioned items above is all optional. You make your own important carry on decisions for your bag. But the main purpose of a messenger bag is to carry a concealed weapon and a laptop.

The PALS system is great on this 5.11 bag. Somtimes the operator needs that extra cubic inches down range. Such attachments are tactical utility and ammo pouches. You can configure the the bag with any optional pouches out there.
As seen in the images above I personally used my Voodoo and Blackhawk Pouches. The mini Voodoo pouch on the left side of the bag carries my ID cards or a full wallet. On the Right side of the bag is the side winder pouch from blackhawk. I use that for my iphone or my Lenovo X220 Laptop Charger cables.
The laptop compartment is another awesome feature. Well basically this is the primary funtion of the messenger bag. It will accept up to a 17 inch laptop. But in my standards a 12 to 15 inch laptop is more appropiate. Carrying a 17 inch laptop is way to much on the weight.
Both side of the inner compartments are padded perfectly. Also there is a tie down velcro strap for the laptop. My leno 12 X220 laptop fits right in. As seen in the images above.

Over all I give this bag a 5. This is based on my scale rating of 1-5. For 5 being the highest. I took this messenger bag out to my hometown Maui , Hawaii. I used it in the Haiku forrest in the up country slopes of Maui. It always rains and it is very muddy. Also factor in the humidity, sand and bugs. With my laptop and other items in the bag it was very well protected. Especially the rain that keeps on comin.
I was impressed and happy. I would highly recomend this bag to any operator out there. It is nothing fancy. But it gets the job done as a tactical bag. The 5.11 Rush Messenger bag is one of the best out there in my opinion. The only competitor to this bag right now is the Kifaru OTW.
